Personal Interests

Sewing
A couple of years ago I developed a passion for sewing. I found it to be something I could problem-solve with my hands after spending all day in my head. However, I have also found this to increasingly intersect with other interests, such as wearable tech, and my own questions of how gender is performed through clothing.

Art
In my first ever psychology course, I discovered that I was synesthetic, which is a big contributor to how I illustrate and conceive of abstract ideas. While I am mainly drawn to white and black charcoal for fine art drawing, I also have fun painting and crafting, such as my depiction of self-other overlap.

Writing
While I spend most of my time writing for my studies and for this blog, creative writing was my first love. I took a couple of creative writing classes in high school, and then was recommended for a full-year course during my undergraduate degree. The assignment for that course resulted in a short story published in a local magazine.
I hope to get back to writing soon! I especially enjoy speculative fiction and conceptual literature, which bridges the gap of art movements, philosophy, and embodied experiences.
