I spent so much of 2025 telling myself I should post on my website…so it only makes sense that it’s a 2025 roundup. I like to keep tabs on what I sew both to keep myself accountable, and to track my progress throughout the years. Here are (most?) of the garments I made!
2025 was the 3rd full-year that I have been sewing, and the first to send me out of my comfort zone by making more luxury garments such as bias cut dresses, lingerie, hand sewn silk chiffon, and a winter coat (which I will dedicate a whole post to discussing!). I started the year finishing a few lingerie WIPs to – which turned out not to fit super well. The bralette, for example, I had cut out years previously and it was definitely too small. But at that point I was just glad to complete it.
I also went travelling this year, so I made a few things out of natural fibers for warmer weather, such as silks, light-weight cottons, and sundresses that I can just throw on. I will definitely be doing more of this in 2026, because I was able to find a sundress pattern that I like, and that is easy to make, and so I am going to make a few for the inevitable heat waves this summer.
I have a few other goals for 2026, which includes branching out into other textiles and garment making, but I’ll include that in a separate post as well.
